MIAM GmbH receives funding for the project "Technology development for the remanufacturing of high-quality industrial valves," short title: "REMAN - Industrial Valves," from the European Social Fund as part of the Saxony-Anhalt Knowledge and Technology Transfer Promotion program.
The goal of this project is the holistic digital processing of documents for the production process up to shipping and customer documentation, supported by cloud technology, electronic data capture, and storage in an SQL database.
- Beginning with the data capture of the valve in its installation position on site at the chemical plant.
- Data capture of the 3D geometry of the cast steel or forged steel valve using precision scanners.
- Performing a material analysis using MIAM’s X-ray fluorescence analysis (XRF).
- Creation of CAD data using the digitized valve.
- Assessment of the valve condition and the valve trim / damage.
- Defining the available design solution (digital twin) to determine technologies for repair.
- Calculation of the valve (flow, strength).
- Development of CNC data for mechanical processing, including cladding and material build-up using an available industrial robot.
- Mechanical processing.
- Assembly
- Leakage detection.
- Digitized bill of materials / material ordering, including procurement.
- Development of valve documentation / digital and analog according to customer specifications / quality proof / conformity.
